About Andrea Kurian
I was born and raised in Zimbabwe but my family is originally from Kerela, India. Growing up, I moved around a lot and have had the pleasure of living in Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Botswana, USA, Zambia, UAE and Australia. Being exposed to various cultures from a young age while enriching my own Indian heritage has created a deep-rooted appreciation for diversity, community and culture.
​Contemplating back to when my passion for media sparked, I can vividly recall the first time I experienced the annual hype of the Super Bowl advertisements. The ingenious blend of uncanny humor, goosebump-inducing symphonies, and heart-rendering storytelling engrossed me.
As I have enhanced my knowledge in the subject, I can now truly appreciate the strategic and artistic prowess of advertising and brand messaging. My passion for advertising has led to me being fascinated by the influence that it has over large audiences. With the rise in digital media and platforms, I am thoroughly captivated by how brands can use their power to not only sell services and products but to empower communities, educate minds and encourage change.
As the future leaders within the media and marketing industry, it is our duty to create a diverse, ethical, and innovative space. As a digital native, I am passionate about utilizing media and creativity in my personal and professional journeys.
While pursuing an education in Advertising and Brand Management, my passion for creativity has led me to pick up self-taught skills in podcasting, video and audio production, content creation, illustration, and brand collaborations.
